His blog is recalling the Cincinnatti deaths of 11 kids and young adults who died trying to get into the general admission concert back,interestingly enough, on my dad's birthday, December 3rd of 1979. His blog submission of Saturday, January 7th talks about this tragedy and should be listened to as there was no one more effected by this, other than the families of the deceased, than the band itself...IMO

Thankfully this was the end of general admission seating to concerts, for the most part, in the USA.

I am sick of the Monkey Business in the government daily and hope that the king of lobbyists, Jack Abramoff, paints the investigators a very vivid picture of what he could do with money and gifts and they take down the Pigs that live off that money and lifestyle and never let them out of the PigPen!

I believe in God and thank him for the many blessings that he has bestowed upon me and my loved ones all over the world my whole life but despise those who try and use his power for their own benefit... Flea Blog (but the Lakers still suck)

Going to the Lakers website to check out Kobe's suspension for being a baby and elbowing someone in retribution for something imagined, I see that Flea, of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has a blog of his own hosted on the website itself. At least he seems to be honest in his blogs:

"it was a tough loss for the lakers todaybut they shot poorly from the free throw line and from the 3 point line and they lost i am still proud of them, if kobe sank his free throws they would have won the game it is rare for him to miss those the lakers as a team were not as great as they can be"

I am happy having the Suns at the top of the Pacific Division, 2nd in the West, and the Lakers down at 7th in the West. The Lakers made a bad decision letting Shaq, and everyone else, go and trying to rebuild around such a big headed boy like Kobe...IMO

Rings Around Uranus...(don't think dirty)

(A) The reflected glare of Uranus itself is blotted out, revealing the planet's rings and moons.

(B) Further processing enabled the astronomers to identify two extremely faint moons, Perdita and Cupid, highlighted here by colored circles.

(C) Still more enhancements revealed two previously unseen rings, labeled R1 and R2.

NBA MVP 2015?

Jacob Liddle, an NBA and National Team basketball star from Mesa, AZ was named winner of the 2015 NBA MVP Award. The award, voted on by NBA fans all over the world, is given annually to the most popular player by the National Basketball Association.

Liddle, in his second year in the NBA, capped a season for the ages in 2014-15 winning the NBA's Most Valuable Player award May 8th. Watching Jake score 15.5 points per game and an NBA leading 11.5 assists while leading the Suns to their first Championship ring was a thrill!

Liddles' other achievements include winning the 2014 Slam Dunk contest with his screaming slam dunk flight from the free throw line and leading his team, the Dobson High Mustangs, to an unbeaten season in 2012-13.

Lately scouts from X-box have been seen meeting with Jake. Maybe NBA Live 2016 will have a Liddle more to get gamers excited!

It seems a strange coincidence (I don't actually believe in coincidences) that my last post was regarding the terrible thing that happened in America during the Reagan administration, the killing of John Lennon, who was a man the government was afraid could give backbone and a voice to those who disagreed with our world policies. Now, we have Bush and his administration at least, going to war in Iraq under false pretenses, and at most, creating the whole 9/11 abomination as an excuse to tackle anything they declared to be terrorist or supporting terrorists. I am just sick to my fucking stomach every day I read the new news...what is going to happen next? When do we start to be honest with ourselves, the United States, with a government for the people and by the people. What fucking people? The rich motherfucking bastards that benefitted from the beginning and who refuse to let go for the next generation of humans. The world that my children are going to live in will be much better than the world that I grew up in believing what was taught to me. I am glad that now when my kids ask questions, they will have access to the truth, or at least many different versions of what may be true and not just take what the American government gives them through school and the media. Now the media is bugging me too here in America. Back in the beginning of the war in Iraq, I remember hearing Tony Blair talking to his parliament about wanting to get more of the rebuilding dollars to companies in the UK. I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT MONEY OVER HERE IN AMERICA. THAT IS BECAUSE HALLIBUTON DIDN'T WANT US TO THINK THAT ANYONE STOOD TO MAKE MONEY ON THIS FUCKING WAR. I am ready for a change and cannot imagine waiting another 3 years for this bitch bastard George W. Bush to end his term in office. It is time to impeach this lying sack of shit and replace him with someone who cares about more than money. FUCK YOU GEORGE BUSH AND FUCK YOU DICK CHENEY!!! I have had some very meaningful experiences while listening to it but never imagined that it could mean different things to different people. The album is more than just music. It is more than just a story. I cannot understand what in it drove this Mark David Chapman to kill John Lennon but hope that the parole board keeps this man off of the streets.

The separation of church and state is no longer of any concern to the school board there. I am very sorry to see this happen. As if George W. Bush was not an embarrasment enough, now Kansas goes and strikes Darwins theory from what is taught to children. I believe in God and am alive because of his blessings and plan for me. I do have the freewill to live my life and the more knowledge I have of this world that I am a part of, the better my life will be. I cannot see who or how anyone will benefit from the evolutionary theory being omitted from scientific teachings. I see that the religious right thinks that Darwins theory is full of holes. I see science without Darwins theory more full of holes...

I see the backers of this legislation as people who refuse to let go of what they learned as children, that God created the Earth and the heavens in 7 days... I like the story and understand that you had to explain things a little more simply a few thousand years ago so that people could understand and grasp the theory. I cannot understand how some can be so blind to the fact that we are constantly evolving. If evolution were not true, no one would ever get the flu again. The trouble is that a flu bug we immunize for evolves into a flu that can survive the attempts to eliminate it, and so on and so on. (Funny how the influenza evolution may be the end of mans evolution. The way things are looking we may be in big trouble when the bird flu goes human to human.)

We can also understand better now how long it actually took God to create the heavens and the Earth. We know that a day to an Earthling is 24 hours, and a day to a Venusian is 5832 hours long, and a day to a Jupiterian is only 9.9 hours long. Can't we easily see that a day to God may not be 24 hours long? Can't we easily see that a story told to people 5000 years ago, cannot be as scientifically exacting as we need it to be in this age of information? Can't we all just keep our religious beliefs, or lack of them, to ourselves and those interested in discussing them? I think that school is not the place that I want my children learning about God. I want my kids to have the same opportunity for learning that I did and not have anyone elses religious beliefs get in their way.

Suns Beat Lakers in L.A. (122-112)

You Tell 'em Mike!

So we lost our home season opener to Dallas Mavericks in double overtime. It was nice to then travel to the City of Angels and beat the Lakers in their season home opener. The boys (LA) just could not get that triangle to work for them last night. I wonder if Phil Jackson is going to last there longer than Rudy Tomjanovich did...

 

A Cool Morning Bike Ride...

No, not this cool. I just didn't have another picture.

I took the bike out today (5am) for a ride around Dobson Ranch Golf Course. It took about 20 minutes and had me breathing heavy. I really think that bike riding is going to be a great way to spend some high quality time with the family and also to get some high quality time with just nothing but the wind in my ears, connecting with the day in the early morning hours before the city is even awake.

Just a man who rides the same brand of bicycle, Trek. I got a 24 speed mountain bike today to expand my exercise routine from the treadmill and eclipse machines to some outdoor biking. After seeing a streetbike accident in my neighborhood, the desire for a crotchrocket has diminished but two wheels still call my name so....here I am with my new bike!

I came home from the bike shop and showed my wife who instantly asked where hers was. I turned back around and took her back to the shop. She wanted one in red,which they have to assemble, so we will have to go pick it up later tonight when they call to advise us it's ready.

My kids are stoked that we can now go on family bike outings. I am stoked to have some solitary biking time without the motorcycle risk and get some good exercise in at the same time.

I guess the saying still stands though...'Keep the Wheels Side Down'.

All Right Now! It is time for some NBA action and I am ready for some good stuff from the Suns, even without Amare for a while... I saw the Mavericks Airliner at Sky Harbor on my way downtown today and I have been itching to see the game ever since then... Tonight at 8:30pm begins the season and hopefully all the way to the finals!!!
