I'm Fixing a Hole

I’m taking the time for a number of things
That weren’t important yesterday
And I still go.

I’m fixing a hole where the rain gets in
And stops my mind from wandering
Where it will go.

I guess it is like spring cleaning. You have to get rid of the stuff in the attic that you have been storing, for no good reason, for years and years. I guess this is a part of that process. Thank you for your participation!

Sick Joke

Three women had a very late night drinking. They left in the early morning hours and went home their separate ways. The next day, they all met and compared notes about who was drunker the night before.

The first girl claims that she was the drunkest, saying, "I drove straight home and walked into the house. As soon as I got through the door, I blew chunks."

The second said, "You think that was drunk? Damn, I got into my car and wrapped my car around the first tree I saw. I don't even have insurance!"

The third proclaimed, "Shit, I was the drunkest by far! When I got home, I got into a big fight with my husband, knocked a candle over, and burned the whole house down!"

The room was silent for a moment.
Then, the first girl spoke out again,
"Listen girls, I don't think you understand. Chunks is my dog."

He who hesitates is lost

In moving forward in recovery from shoulder injuries and seizures I see quotes that give meaning and I can draw strength from. Here is one of them that has inspired my recent changes for the better...

"Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays". - Sun Tzu

"Jesus Saves, Satan Scores"

(blog title taken from a Islanders Hockey T-Shirt)
I see that Slovakia (SVK) beat Team USA 2-1 in hockey today. I was amazed to see, as the SVK team get together in celebration after the game, that they have a player named SATAN on their team. Not only is he on the team but he has the number 18 on his jersey. Now I hate to sound like a bible thumping freak but with three times 6 being 18 and the number of the beast being 666, well - you know where I am going with this...here is what I found on wikipedia about him.

(in his Islanders jersey)

Miroslav Ε atan (born October 22, 1974 in Topol'cany, Slovakia) is a professional ice hockey player who plays for the New York Islanders. (I should have guessed) His last name is prounced "Shuh-TAN", probably to avoid confusion with Satan. (aka Beelzebub)

Just Another Tricky Day

I guess that every day brings you something. Today, a song by The Who, brought me back to a day when the world did not weigh so heavily on my mind and I realized that all I had to do was believe that I was where I wanted to be and I would be there. So here I am sharing the lyrics with you...enjoy!

You can't always get it
When you really want it
You can't always get it at all
Just because there's space
In your life it's a waste
To spend your time why don't you wait for the call

(Just gotta get used to it)
We all get it in the end

(Just gotta get used to it)
We go down and we come up again

(Just gotta get used to it)
You irritate me my friend

(This is no social crisis)
This is you having fun

(No crisis)
Getting burned by the sun

(This is true)
This is no social crisis
Just another tricky day for you

You can always get higher
Just because you aspire
You could expire even knowing.
Don't push the hands
Just hang on to the band
You can dance while your knowledge is growing

(It could happen anytime)
You can't expect to never cry

(Patience is priceless)
Not when you try to fly so high

(Just stay on that line)
Rock and roll will never die

(This is no social crisis)
This is you having fun

The world seems in a spiral
Life seems such a worthless title
But break out and start a fire y'all
It's all here on the vinyl

(Just gotta get used to it)
Gotta get used to waiting

(Just gotta get used to it)
You know how the ice is

(Just gotta get used to it)
It's thin where you're skating

(This is no social crisis)
It's just another tricky day for you - fella

FUC% the DEMS and the GOP!

Due to pressures from Democratic party leaders, Paul Hackett is dropping out of the Ohio senate race. The boys at the top with all the hands in all the right pockets are afraid of a little change for the better. I am ashamed to even have leadership this shoddy in this great nation. GREED is EVIL and EVIL will be the only thing that can bring US down.

I am sick to death to hear that the Democratic party leaders even sank to a new low by calling his donors urging them not to contribute to his campaign!
FUCK YOU PARTY LEADERS!!!
FUCK YOU AGAIN!!!
FUCK YOU IN THE DONKEY ASS MOTHER FUCKERS!!!
(can you tell I am pissed?)

I beg everyone, please, be aware of all the measures, proposals, electorates, and everything else there is to vote on out there and VOTE!!! I want new leadership and I want people like Paul Hackett to get opportunities and support from within his own party not get shut up and closed out of elections that Fat Democrats have securely in their power...GRRRR!

Equality in Amusement

Here is another one on the Danish. I just think that this is the funniest thing since our congressmen calling their breakfasts and lunches, Freedom Toast and Freedom Fries after France's declination to back the U.S. - led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Bad Intelligence?

I just have to laugh. The whole world is crashing around the current leadership of our country and they are still trying to hide from it/deny it is happening. I guess it is really not funny, is it?

THAT'LL SHOW 'EM, YEAH!

TEHRAN, Iran - Not content with pelting European embassies with Molotov cocktails to protest against cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, Iranians have decided to rename the “Danish pastries” relished by this nation of cake lovers.

From now on, the sweet, flaky pastries which dominate the shelves in Iran’s cake shops will be known as “Roses of the Prophet Muhammad,” the official IRNA news agency reported as pressure on Denmark over the cartoons took on a new dimension.

“No one is allowed to make fun of our beloved and respected prophet,” Hassan Nasserzadeh, a cake shop owner in central Tehran, told Reuters.

BLM Land For Sale (to pay for tax cuts)

Bush, (hereafter referred to as Bitch) is proposing to sell off 120,000 acres of BLM land and 200,000 acres of Forest Service land to raise money. Bitch thinks that this is a good way to raise a billion dollars that he has found plenty of shitty ways to spend already. Bitch has deemed these areas to have little scenic, recreational, or resource value. Here are some photos of some of the areas that Bitch wants to sell off...they look to have some value from my perspective.

Here is an actual link to the Forest Service parcels that have been announced so far... www.fs.fed.us/land/staff/rural_schools.shtml I suppose Bitch would rather give his friends tax breaks than spend their money on the schools that the forests can be sold to pay for instead!

Remember when...

...Dick Cheney made fun of John Kerry for goose hunting? It looks like Dick has been caught with foot firmly in mouth here. Also, him shooting another hunter in his group almost seems a little symbolic of what's happening in the courts nowadays. The criminals nowadays no longer keep their mouths shut for their former bosses, they trade testimony away for lighter sentences. I, personally, like it that way. Let's let those who make the big boys pay for their mistakes like they should.

"If you wanna get to Heaven...

...you've got to raise a little hell." - Black Oak Arkansas

It looks like some middle easterners are looking for some trouble in their quest for a better afterlife. I do not think that they are actually ready for the hornets nest they are about to stir up. Iraq is only the tip of the American iceberg and Iran is going to play the part of the Titanic if they do not watch what they say and do. I worry that we have not pulled out even the smallest of the big guns, and I am not referring to nuclear. I think there is plenty of military technology to back up whatever we say. I just feel bad for anyone who thinks that they really want to fuck with us. America is the future of the world. Get with it or get off the boat. (or stay on it, it's the Titanic, remember?)

I hope that we can all get along but I also know that nothing is easy and nothing good is free so we may have to go over some bumps along the road to world peace. Those of us most open to forward thinking change are going to be the survivors, the world citizens!

A quote comes to mind..."better the pride that resides, in a citizen of the world, than the pride that divides, when a colorful rag is unfurled" -Territories, Rush

V-Twin Inside

How to rile the natives...

...and supposing that they are natives as Mesopotamia was where the first civilizations were. Here is a simple political cartoon. It seems to have riled the Islamic radicals to extreme heights. I cannot see why the Muslims are getting so angry. The Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc, etc. don't get so pissy when they are politcally rendered. My advice is to get a life, or give yours to God so the rest of us can enjoy the planet that God gave us all to share and enjoy together.

Here are some cartoons for all to enjoy, or not. Peace!

Lunar Cycle

A nice picture of the moon is all I am saying here...

The Dumb Ox: Danish Cartoonists in Hiding

The Dumb Ox: Danish Cartoonists in Hiding

Now a reply addressing the Muslim terrorists: The opinion is very thought provoking...

The article talks about clash of civilizations. The problem is Moooslem is NOT a civilization. A civilization is a society in an advanced state of development. Moooslim chops off hands. Mooslim burns embassies and reacts vilely to human freedom. Moooslim elects Hamassfists who tote guns as their leaders. They elect boys with chips on their shoulders to be their leaders. Hence, it's not a civilization. They are barbarians who attack civilization. They need to be dealt with as such and not shown any degree of respect in their illegitimacy. Native Americans were far more noble and civilized in the 17th Century than Moooslems are today. Barbarians should be indicted, tried and executed in the court of civilization. P.S. The cowardly Europeans are uncivil when they fail to stand up for civilization. They will die the death Rome did at the hands of the Ostrogoths, Visigoths et al.

A Dogs Life...

...enough said.

Never really thought about it like this...

An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.

When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!
As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best of everything, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, and the best services. But they also welcome those who have the least...

The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America.

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself, because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

This reminds me of the late 1980's...YUK

MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday boasted that Russia has missiles capable of penetrating any missile defense system, the ITAR-Tass and RIA-Novosti news agencies reported.

"Russia last year tested missile systems that no one in the world has and won't have for a long time," the news agencies quoted him as telling a news conference. "These missile systems don't represent a response to a missile defense system, but they are immune to that. They are hypersonic and capable of changing their flight path."

Putin said he had shown the working principles of the missile systems to French President Jacques Chirac during a visit to a Russian military facility.
"He knows what I'm talking about," RIA-Novosti quoted Putin as telling reporters after state-run news channels had cut their live broadcast of the news conference.

Say What?

The Phoenix Suns today acquired Minnesota forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (pronounced NI-ko-los SKEE-tish-VEE-lee).

Nikoloz played for Head Coach Mike D’Antoni (for Italian club Benetton Treviso) in 2001-02.

The Guy is 7 feet tall and Suns President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo said this, “If there is an ideal coach and ideal system for Skita to do well, it’s here in Phoenix with Mike D’Antoni.”

Watch for him in uniform #15

Go Suns!!!

Political bias affects brain activity!

(click the pic for a cool link!)
NO, REALLY!!! I was thinking that this was going to be a comedic article but turns out to be factual indeed. At least now I feel good about not holding peoples political affiliations or leanings against them. It is beyond their control obviously...

Hypocrites Begone!

“Unless man is committed to the belief that all mankind are his brothers, then he labors in vain and hypocritically in the vineyards of equality.” - Adam Clayton Powell Jr.

I long to believe that all mankind are my brothers and think that I may be just young enough to see this planet in peace. The speed at which we advance multiplies daily and I see no reason that my children, and their friends around the world, cannot spread freedom and knowledge around the world. I think that governments around the world need some big time housecleaning though...

We humans have proven time and time again that we can achieve anything we set our collective minds to do. Let's Do It!

Peace...

Now at last I fall before...

...the Fountain of Enceladus.

Actually this is a color enhanced photo of one of the many moons of Saturn, Enceladus. The moons surface has gaps that release tall plumes of vapor and ice crystals into space. I thought it looked cool so here it is for your enjoyment.

Oh Happy Day!

The new year is bringing many changes and they all seem to be positive ones. I am dang glad as it seems they were long overdue from the negative changes that have been happening to me since late 2004. I have been doing lots of growing though, and I have said many times, "If I had my whole life to live over, I would not change a thing." I love my life and where I am at and who am with. If anything had changed, I may not have the wonderful blessings of my wonderful family. There is nothing more important to me than my family and I think that 2006 is going to be the best year this family has had yet!

Who?

Pete Townshend that's who. His blog is recalling the Cincinnatti deaths of 11 kids and young adults who died trying to get into the general admission concert back, interestingly enough, on my dad's birthday, December 3rd of 1979. His blog submission of Saturday, January 7th talks about this tragedy and should be listened to as there was no one more effected by this, other than the families of the deceased, than the band itself...IMO

Thankfully this was the end of general admission seating to concerts, for the most part, in the USA.

A Fine Example of What Should Be...

This is a political cartoon by Drew Sheneman of the Newark Star Ledger. Reposted without permission so wanted to give credit where credit is due.

This is A Fine Example of What Should Be happening all over the Congress really soon. I pray that this is, in no way, swept under the rug.

Monkey Business

It looks like Tom DeLay is going down hard and the GOP is trying their hardest to distance themselves from what last year was their best friend and leader in the House of Representatives. I am sick of the Monkey Business in the government daily and hope that the king of lobbyists, Jack Abramoff, paints the investigators a very vivid picture of what he could do with money and gifts and they take down the Pigs that live off that money and lifestyle and never let them out of the PigPen!

Jesus Saves!

Pat Robertson, with his comments about God striking down Ariel Sharon because he is dividing God's land, is not doing God's work but merely trying to shake up his followers to send him more money to keep reporting bullshit on the 700 Club. I believe in God and thank him for the many blessings that he has bestowed upon me and my loved ones all over the world my whole life but despise those who try and use his power for their own benefit... Here are some lyrics that remind me of Pat Robertson. It is a song called Jesus Saves.

You go to the church, you kiss the cross
You will be saved at any cost
You have your own reality
Christianity
You spend your life just kissing ass
A trait that’s grown as time has passed
You think the world will end today
You praise the lord, it’s all you say

Jesus saves, listen to you pray
You think you’ll see the pearly gates
When death takes you away

For all respect you cannot lust
In an invisible man you place your trust
Indirect dependency
Eternal attempt at amnesty
He will decide who lives and dies
Depopulate satanas rise
You will be an accessory
Irreverence and blasphemy

Jesus saves, no need to pray
The gates of pearl have turned to gold
It seems you’ve lost your way

Jesus saves, no words of praise
No promised land to take you to
There is no other way
