It's Alright

Give it all and ask no return
and very soon you'll see
(and you'll begin to learn)
That's it's alright

These are lyrics to 'It's Alright' by Black Sabbath on the Technical Ecstasy album. It is the only Black Sabbath song not sung by Ozzy before he left the band in 1979. Here is the lowdown via Wikipedia:

Technical Ecstasy is the 1976 album from heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It is regarded in some circles as the worst Ozzy Osbourne-era album. During the time period in which this album was made, the band was heavily into drugs.

Technical Ecstasy continued the band's progression away from its signature doom and darkness that had been such a trademark of the band's early career. While the album's lyrics dealt with topics such as drug dealers, prostitution, and transvestites, the music itself was seldom dark, and tracks like "Rock 'n' Roll Doctor" and "It's Alright" (sung by drummer Bill Ward, a decision supported by Ozzy Osbourne) were barely recognizable as Sabbath tunes.

Well, thank you. I certainly showed by the full depth of my ignorance of Sabbath history with this one...

p.s., I swear to God that I saw Neil Peart driving his red BMW motorcyle this morning on I-10 and Broadway heading south... I know from his books that the BMW dealership has been very kind to him; they have let him store his bike there on several occaions. I also know that he absolutely hates Phoenix; he recalled a concert in the 80's, one I assume we attended, when someone threw a beer bottle (or something) and hit Geddy. I confess that I don't recall that. He also wrote that he thinks Phoenix is "stinky". Oh well.
